AlphaTrust e-Sign™

AlphaTrust e-Sign™ is a third-generation electronic signature platform that automates the creation of legally enforceable, permanent business records that are the commercial and legal equivalent of paper records.

All AlphaTrust e-Sign™ transaction processing centers around the unit of work called the “Transaction”. Each Transaction may have one or many documents associated with it. Each document may have one or more "Tasks" to be performed by “Participants” associated with that document.

Participants can perform actions such as entering form data, uploading a file, acknowledging a disclosure, reviewing, initialing or signing a document, among others; can be authenticated using a variety of methods; can be provided long-term access to signed document and Audit Reports, and much more.

In addition to Transaction processing, AlphaTrust e-Sign™ also supports administrative functions for user management, security, monitoring, reporting, logging, and accounting.

An unlimited number of user accounts can be created, and you have absolute control over access and permissions. In addition, logical segmentation of Users, Workflows, Transactions, etc. can be applied via the use of "Groups" and "Sub-Groups".

Web Services

The AlphaTrust e-Sign™ Web Services API is a highly flexible e-signature process automation API, providing fine-grained control for the design and implementation of any document workflow.

For an overview of the methods and definitions included in the AlphaTrust e-Sign™ Web Services API, see API Overview.

Control Panel

For a straightforward setup and rapid launch of document workflows, the Workflow Designer in the Control Panel can be utilized. This no-code tool allows for easy configuration of "Workflows" in AlphaTrust e-Sign™, accommodating everything from high-complexity processes—completed thousands of times per day—to one-off electronic signatures.

A Workflow is a reusable template that can be "launched" to generate a Transaction whose behavior is determined by the design of the Workflow and parameters input at launch. Workflows may be “bulk-launched” using a CSV file, and they can also be leveraged through the API, allowing for retrieval, data injection, and launching."

Transactions can be created via the API, via the Control Panel, or a via combination of the two.

Utilizing a hybrid strategy — i.e., combining user-configured Control Panel Workflows within an API integration — is often advantageous:

(1) It permits an efficient go-to-market strategy: first, automate your paper processing quickly and effortlessly via the Control Panel. The Workflows you configure will remain available to be leveraged via API integration—if desired—at a later date.

(2) It allows for real-time Workflow adjustments without the need to modify integration code or include extensive configurations within your own application.

(3) If you want to automate a new process, it generally reduces time-to-market and development burden.
